Say Hi song as theme to “Playing House” on USA

Say Hi‘s song “Back Before We Were Brittle,” which originally appeared on the album The Wishes And The Glitch is now featured as the theme song for the critically acclaimed USA Network original comedy Playing House, starring Maggie Caruso and Emma Crawford.  The show has become a fast off-season favorite.

We’ve been keeping The Felice Brothers busy lately, having them do more than just write new material.  We recently asked them to cover the song “This Magic Moment” for a Dell ad that started airing just before New Years.  Take a look at the spot below!

Ben Nichols of Lucero featured on The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead‘s 6th episode of season 4 opens with the title track off Ben NicholsThe Last Pale Light in the West.  It was a heavily featured use and gained a lot of attention from viewers.  Some online news outlets even referred to it as one of the top uses of music in TV in 2013.  Give it a listen.

The title track from Tilly And The Wall‘s Heavy Mood (Team Love) provides the soundtrack for a new T-Mobile commercial featuring the Samsung Galaxy.  Check out the spot!

 

Juliana Hatfield signs to House Of Hassle!

The lead track off Telekinesis‘ newest album Dormarion (Merge Records), “Power Lines,” is now the theme song for the AmazonPrime original series Betas.  Watch the opening sequence below.

Field Report song covered on new Blind Boys Of Alabama album

The song “I Am Not Waiting Anymore” by Field Report, originally appeared on their self-titled release in 2012, and now also appears on the new The Blind Boys Of Alabama album I’ll Find A Way, performed by the Boys, featuring Sam Amidon.  Watch Justin Vernon of Bon Iver talk about the collaboration in the video below, and stream the full version of the song just underneath the video.

Jennifer O’Connor in Sons Of Anarchy & on Laura Cantrell’s record

This is has been a big week for House Of Hassle writer Jennifer O’Connor.  The song “Running Blues” was featured in episode 3 of season 6 of Sons Of Anarchy.  The track is credited as Jennifer O’Connor & the Forest Rangers and was co-written by Jennifer and the Sons Of Anarchy’s composer and music supervisor Bob Thiele. Also, on Monday of this week, Laura Cantrell released a new album in the UK entitled No Way There From Here and it includes a cover of Jennifer’s song “Beg or Borrow Days.”
